AI Training Data Consent

Effective Date: July 15, 2026

This consent is optional. Refusing it does not restrict your access to the core Service.

Note: AI inference (the actual response generation you see in the app) is core to the Service and is not the subject of this consent. Use of external providers (OpenAI, Google) for inference and the resulting cross-border transfer are covered by the separate “International Data Transfer Consent”. This consent is limited to the use of data to train an in-house Saju AI model.

1. Purpose of Consent

Training and improving an in-house Saju (Four Pillars) AI model to provide more accurate and culturally nuanced fortune-telling results. Your data may be used specifically for machine learning optimization and algorithmic evaluation by Bangguseok Company.

2. Items Collected and Used

With this consent, we additionally collect and use:

By consenting, you acknowledge we are collecting sensitive personal information (birth date/time, gender, etc.). These are strictly necessary for the core logic of Saju-based AI training.

Behavioral logs (screen views, session duration, etc.) and demographic analysis are not covered by this consent. They are governed respectively by the required analytics section of the Privacy Policy and by the separate [Service Improvement Data Consent].

3. Retention and Use Period

(a) Retention: The items listed in Section 2 will be retained and used for AI model training until you withdraw your consent.

(b) Withdrawal Effect & De-identification: Upon withdrawal of consent, the Company will immediately cease using your data for further training and will permanently delete or irreversibly de-identify your raw data within thirty (30) days.

(c) AI Model Weights: To ensure compliance with global data erasure mandates, the Company utilizes pre-training data sanitization. Because personal identifiers are completely stripped from data inputs before they are ingested into the training pipeline, the resulting trained model weights contain only anonymous, aggregated patterns. No personal data will remain retrievable or identifiable within the trained model weights.

4. Right to Refuse and Effect of Refusal

  1. This consent is optional, and you may refuse.
  2. Refusal may affect features enabled by this consent (such as beta access to our in-house AI). Core services — account creation, saju interpretation, AI chatbot, 7-day fortune exam — remain fully available regardless of your choice. Refusal will not result in any penalty or loss of access to current core features (i.e., account creation, saju interpretation, AI chatbot, 7-day fortune exam). It only means your data will not contribute to our future research and experimental models.

5. How to Withdraw

You may withdraw consent at any time by either of the following: * Toggle off Settings > Privacy & Terms > AI Training Data Consent within the app. * Email a withdrawal request to [dev@bangguseok.co.kr].

6. Processing Location

All data utilized for in-house AI model training under this consent is processed and hosted within secured cloud environments located in South Korea and the United States. The Company will not transfer your personal training data across international borders for training purposes without providing prior explicit notice of the destination country, the recipient entity, and obtaining your separate, verifiable cross-border transfer consent as required by local laws.
